Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) is a joint initiative of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka. It is set up as a section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013. It works closely with Karnataka Innovation & Technology Society (KITS), a nodal centre for implementing schemes of the Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka & its Startup Cell. It is a State-of-the-art translational research and entrepreneurship centre catering to all the needs of start-ups in life sciences. The Centre caters to the broad areas of Life Sciences i.e., Healthcare (Med-Tech & Pharma/Bio-Pharma), Agriculture, Food/Nutrition, Industrial Biotechnology and Environmental Biotechnology.
Qualification:-
Ph.D in Life Sciences/Biotechnology with a minimum 4 years of research experience
MBA with a minimum of 4 years of administrative experience, preferably in running any reputed Technology Business Incubator/Science Park.
Good understanding of Startup and Biotechnology Ecosystem in Karnataka.

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or until further orders. Appointment is subject to an annual review with Board of Directors.
